Well the other day I made up a little pony OC, now named Star Shot, and I mentioned that since she is a heavier pony and not 100% pegasus, she cannot fly, only skip along the ground and glide from high spots.
Her greatest dream is to fly, she wont admit it to anyone but she loves the night sky and stars, and wishes she could dance among them like other pegasus ponies.
I thought it'd be cute to put her in a little dream sequence where she actually got to fly at long last. I made the backdrop a far shot of Canterlot because it's just the prettiest little city in the show in my opinion.

She has a roman nose, or convex face. I adore the look of it on real horses, and I couldn't resist giving my pony one. Originally she was going to have stockings and feathering, much like a Clydesdale, one of my favorite breeds of horse, but I found this too complicated and I just gave her a roman nose and a facecap. It makes it a bit more difficult to draw her, but I like a bit of a challenge, plus I wanted her to be a little bit different without being outrageous.
