And she already asked Darya to allow her to put it away. Question is, how quickly can Saida find, or “borrow” gills, and apply them to both Brand and herself, before they runs out of air, or Darya finds out? Hopefully, Saida can reapply the same “aquatic” bodies, as to not raise Darya’s suspicions.
I don't know if Roko was planning on doing that or not. I think it was more of Roko being scared and just use the scroll to block the reaper's scythe attack so it wouldn't slash his soul. One thing Roko is very good at is improvising under pressure. Hopefully Roko, Brand, and Saida will be fine. Roko needs to come up with a plan B, C, and D just in case his first plan doesn't work out. I have faith in Roko that he will find a way to save everybody.
