The Adolescence of Rosalie (Revolutionary Girls Alt)
After School...
Rosalie Takao was wandering about the campus. An upperclassman had just challenged her to a duel due to the young woman interrupting something between him and The Rose Bride, Jaida Corvera. Most of the time, she was looking at her signet as she entered into the area where the Arena was supposedly located. The room was vast, various surfaces made of marble. The sound of water dropping was echoing about the woman as the ornate wall in front of her loomed menacingly. However, there was a small rose-like object on the front of the gate, like some sort of gate. Compelled, the red-head extended her hand toward the lock. A bead of water forms on the surface and is ejected against the ring on Rosalie's finger.
Just like that, the gate begins to open up, showing a blossoming rose in detail as it did so. Beyond the gate was a spiral staircase, reaching rather high up. With a bit of hesitancy, the young student ascended the staircase, reaching a platform filled with roses at the end. Atop it stood Jaida Corvera, dressed in an ornate dress, with the upperclassman whose fragile ego Rosalie had damaged by coming to Jaida's rescue hours earlier, standing on the opposite end. What the red-headed student had gotten herself in... only time, and Jaida truly knew.

There are very few anime I absolutely obsess over, and Revolutionary Girl Utena just so happens to be on that list. From its themes of exploring one's gender identity, to grapling with trauma and learning to come to terms with it. It's really deep and made by many of the same people who worked at Toei on Sailor Moon. The movie, Adolescence of Utena, is a fast-paced alternate telling of some of the same themes, with a heavier focus on the "letting go" bit. While I didn't like it at first, looking back, I can honestly see the genius and how beautiful it is, even with all of its confusion powers...
Especially with Rosalie and I dressed as the film's leads.
Thank you
Rosalie Takao for the beautiful gift.

As a student deeply immersed in the world of Revolutionary Girl Utena, I couldn't help but feel the excitement and tension build as Rosalie found herself drawn into a duel reminiscent of the anime's intense symbolism and themes. I remember writing stories about my teenage years, I wanted to make everything as interesting and high-quality as possible. Then I started looking for help on the Internet and found https://papersowl.com/examples/adolescence/ this is a great resource where you can find inspiration. The vivid imagery of the marble Arena and the gate opening to reveal a spiral staircase evokes the mysterious allure of the series, leaving me eager to discover what lies ahead for Rosalie and Jaida. With parallels to Adolescence of Utena, it's fascinating to see how this story intertwines with the themes of identity, trauma, and letting go, mirroring the complexities of the anime in a captivating narrative.
Honestly, I was wanting to write a short vignette representative of an iconic scene from the franchise that'd put my girlfriend (
Rosalie Takao) in the same shoes as Utena, with a few liberties taken (such as leaving my (Jaida) pronouns out to give a mystery of the actual gender of the Rose Bride). As such, I opted from the iconic moment Utena first ascended the stairway to the arena from the television series. The other version of this was inspired by the end of Adolescence with a twist that the story is our own and ours to write.
