I wanted to show off some patterns and population phenotypes of these guys. I’m trying to make them distinct when I draw individuals. I’m planning on doing a version with different cultural clothing/accessories as well.

Nexians are rather new to the galactic community, but this is under unfortunate circumstances.

The home planet of the Nexians (Nexia), was plundered by the resource-harvesting tech of the Fel Autonaut 55 years ago. As the Fel Empire falls outside of The Nadirus Coalition's laws of engagement, they had no issue destroying the planet’s biosphere and causing a near-wipe of its organismal ecosystem.

No Nexians or other large native organisms of Nexia currently live on their homeplanet; its gouged, radioactive, and frozen corpse is not amicable to most life any longer. The loss of their world led to the introduction of the Nexian species to the rest of the galactic community out of necessity. Though the Coalition’s quick rescue of the remaining Nexians and some other native organisms was a blessing, the abrupt change from an ‘Iron Age’ society to a ‘galactic’ one has led to noticeable cultural whiplash for everyone involved.
