In life Gloreah was a Paladin that succumbed to the famous curse that transformed her (and others before her) from human to worgen. Having fallen in battle during the Northrend campaign her body was raised from the dead, now a Death Knight, Gloreah served The Lich King until she and the other Death Knights saw The Light of Dawn, giving up their villainy.

After some time Gloreah met Syllvir and married him, the two of them would later adopt Hado as their son due to the fact death knights like her cannot procreate. Unlike other death knights Gloreah is not cold and merciless but rather reasonable.

Gloreah taught Hado some of her abilities however he is only as skilled as a death knight during the Cataclysm era.
