Despite traveling for work fairly often - it was his whole gig, essentially - it never failed to occur to Niles that it was wondrous that such vast distances could be covered in comfort so quickly. Today, this thought manifested as he gazed out the window, watching the scenery fly by at a clip, and a smile spread across his face. He was happy.
He turned his attention back to his laptop and continued to review his writing, but he was distracted. He was fortunate enough to have found time in his schedule to knock a destination off of his wish list, and despite being hundreds of miles away, the excitement of what waited for him was too hard to contain. He allowed himself a moment to daydream about the new adventure before him, then looked outside one last time before refocusing on his work.
