You could be the Star Wars equivalent to a ronin: masterless Jedi that offers her saber for hire. Frowned upon by the Order but respected by the Sith, could easily give any Jedi, Sith, Bounty Hunter and anything inbetween something to raise an eyebrow at... and not just with how you dress!

yea, I had an idea kinda like that, not really neutral, working mostly for the good guys, but on my terms. Almost like a freelance agent that the Jedi don't have to be held accountable for... dunno if that's possible in the Star Wars universe, but it sounds like fun :P

Anything is possible in the Star Wars universe. You'd just have to make it seem believable, which a freelance Jedi isn't something that is common but the world isn't black and white as most might want to believe. Who knows, maybe you have just as many enemies that are Dark Jedi than you do anything else, and while you do help the good guys they may not always view you as trustworthy because of your dangerous 'on-the-fence' nature as a Jedi merc. :P
