Oh I would definitely recommend a read. Stan Sakai is a really gifted storyteller and artist. I love his story and his art. And this piece in particular really reminds me of his work. His is a bit simpler most of the time. but the composition and the vibe are almost completely similar.
If you ever get to it: have a good time with it, and perhaps you will find all the little easter eggs in it :) that alone is worth the read :)
