AMT Hardballer (Regular & Longslide)

A clone version of M1911 that producing between 1977 to 2002, the material made out of stainless steel, and other features included adjustable rear sights and a lengthened grip safety.
The company filed for bankruptcy after their products were affected by quality and reliability problems, and the assets and trademark were acquired by Irwindale Arms Incorporated (IAI). Later, in 1998, Galena Industries of Sturgis, SD, purchased the company and produced firearms in the style of AMT's until 2001 when Crusader Gun Company (later High Standard Manufacturing Company) of Houston, TX purchased it.
(Top) AMT Hardballer: An all stainless steel version of the Colt Gold Cup, fitted with Micro rear sights. Standard variant.
(Bottom) AMT Longslide: a version with an extended 7 in (178 mm) barrel, introduced in 1980. It has the same qualities as the Hardballer but with slide and barrel lengthened by 2 in (51 mm).

I've seen a few AMT Hardballers at gunshows before but never the longslide version. Maybe I'll find a long slide some day but I know that they are highly desirable because of the first terminator movie.
