Cause of Death: Suicide
Zane was a hopeless romantic in life, and had a passion for art. After being kicked out of his parents house following a fight with his mother, he moved in with his boyfriend. He could not have been happier! For 9 months he lived on Cloud-Nine with the love of his life; they were talking about marriage and adopting kids. But the romance vanished when he found text messages and pictures on his partners phone. His boyfriend admitted to cheating, but had no remorse for his actions and was actively seeing someone else on several nights he was allegedly off working his 3rd shift.
Wondering what it was that was wrong with him, what he had done wrong, where it all fell apart - Zane found himself in the pits of despair. He resorted to cutting himself to try and drown the pain in his chest.
Consumed with grief, he parked in his garage with the engine running, closing his eyes and waiting until his end finally found him.
After waking up in hell, Zane found himself consumed with hate and mistrust in others. His talent for art evolved into a kind of Pictomancy, and he found he could use this power to break deals of fellow sinners by ripping the signatures off their contracts - be he cannot dissolve the signature and has to then transfer them to contracts and deals of his own, leading to his own increase in power. He was dubbed by sinners as The Demon of Contracts.
Zane has earned the title of Overlord, but is heavily despised by the other Overlords - having taken countless sinners away from them for his own powerbase. Zane isn't interested in claiming territory or rising to power, thinking it more responsibility and management, which isn't his style. Instead he takes pleasure in the pure fact he's screwing over other Overlords, and he has at last risen to the point of power he no longer needs to fear them.
But with the recent increased Exterminations, Zane has felt the need to step out of the shadows and offer assistance. There's nothing quite like madness and fear to drive people to do stupid things, even if that means signing a deal with The Demon of Contracts.
