Hello everyone, Kalv here. I have an announcement to make; I'm just gonna deactivate my DA account due to some circumstances that I've mentioned before with DA supporting AI and Israel over real artists and innocent lives.

DeviantArt's an active and major supporter of the Israeli state which is currently committing a mass genocide and ethic cleansing against the Palestinian people in Gaza and Rafah. I stand with Palestine and I’m not supporting a site that supports GENOCIDE. I know it sounds harsh, but if you know me you know I’m an anti-colonial person and I'm not gonna be soft and easy about it. I've already had one person get pissed off at me just for supporting Palestine and that bullshit PrayForIsrael trend I vividly remember so it really says a lot about the people who run this site and those who partook in that stupid trend that essentially was just a way to garner sympathy for people who were putting on a facade with their crocodile tears. If you support Israel and their history of war crimes and ethnic cleansing, go fuck yourself and I will block you right now. You are not special nor do you mean anything to me if you endorse genocide by drawing some shitty Loud House fanart promoting it or something like that.

As for the artificially generated ""art"" thing, it's safe to say why this one I'd be also up in arms about as well. It's had a chokehold on the art world for the past year now, I have heard so many stories where people have had their artwork stolen and used to train AI to generate "“art”" and not crediting the actual artist, it’s art theft, plain and simple, no two ways about it. And with DeviantArt supporting AI, it goes against the very thing this site was founded upon in the beginning. It's for these reasons, and many more that I can’t support deviantart anymore, and have taken my leave, from here on out, this account will only be used for archival purposes, other than that, I am not touching this account or any of my alts anymore, I'll place a list of my current socials if you want to follow me in other places.

With that said, I had a somewhat good time on DA while it lasted before it went to shit real fast. I'll provide all of my social media in case ya'll still wanna keep in touch with me. Here's to the seven years that I've spent my time and the positive memories and to all of the friends that I've made on DA. I'll see you guys on the flipside. Thank you for the love and support you've shown over the years.
