One of the species of my fantasy setting, Gari. They're constructs or "AI" left over from the ruins of some ancient civilizations that have since vanished or moved on. In setting, those Gari walking around have been found, had their cores repaired, and been reactivated. Either in refurbished bodies, freshly constructed ones, or in other apparatuses.
They can have some manner of basic control or influence over physical objects their cores make contact with, but primarily work with devices specifically designed to accommodate their device.
