We wrote this on our phone today in an attempt to capture a random TF scenario idea that just kinda made my brain go :)

The Honeymoon
by Pixel Gryphon
(CONTAINS TRANSFORMATION THEMES)
It's been a few weeks since we first noticed the signs.
It started off subtly enough–one day, shortly after returning from our honeymoon in the Unova region, I noticed my partner was starting to show strands of red hair. We didn't think it was anything unusual, really… after all, the weather was getting warmer and clouds seldom visited our small Paldean town.
Maybe it's just the sun bleaching some of the pigment…? I thought, each time I checked. But as time went on, more and more strange things started to happen.
Looking back, I don't think I realized that anything was up. Every night, we would cuddle up together and watch a movie. It never really mattered what we picked to watch together, so when they suggested a nature documentary about Unovan Pokémon, I thought nothing of it. After 3 nights in a row, I decided to make the executive decision to skip the documentary and watch a romance. My partner seemed a bit saddened by this, but agreed to watch it.
By the end of the first week, their entire head of hair was a solid red color, with some of the ends becoming a darker gray.
“Keep that up and you'll look like a zoroark!” I lovingly joked to them. I don't remember exactly what they said in return, if anything, but they did smile with a soft giggle. They never did tell me who their stylist was, now that I think about it…
Things got a bit weirder after the first week, though– it all happened so quickly. First, it was the ears. Nothing a hat couldn't fix, really, until they got too big to be contained under one. They still could attend their meetings from home, as long as they had their camera off… but, after a couple more days, the claws started to appear and typing became virtually impossible for them. They still wore shoes, for a bit, until they all either didn't fit or got completely destroyed.
We didn't know what to do, really! We would still talk normally, but their body was completely changed by the time Friday rolled around. I just remember the night before, waking up to my love tossing and turning, asleep but clearly having a nightmare. I scooted over and quietly wrapped my arms around their waist–much thinner and fuzzier than before–and kissed their cheek, gently letting my hands rub over their belly and up to their chest (which was covered in a thick cover of fluff, by now.) They shivered in their sleep before quieting down in my embrace… I could swear, I saw a smile form on their newly-formed snout before we both drifted off again.

“Sorry, I'm gonna be a bit busy today.”
I watched my rotom-phone screen as my friend's expression change to one of mild disappointment, “Seriously? What could be so important that–”
“I told you, Sunday is our recharge day.” I knew I just cut them off, but they smiled and nodded.
“Haha, yeah. Sorry I keep pushing it, it's just been a while since we went out like that. Y’know, ever since you decided to take up Pokémon training…” I hear him trail off, lost in thought. After a pause, he continues–
“Sorry that things didn't work out between you and–”
“It's okay,” I interrupt, “they, uh…” I hear the clicking of claws approach from behind; I watched in the preview window as my zoroark approached and rested their head on top of mine, muttering a quiet “...rark..!” I giggled, reaching up to scratch at the base of an ear before continuing–
“...I dunno, maybe it's a good thing? never would've tried out Pokémon training unless they–” I'm cut off with a soft bark from the zoroark. “–haha, I know… hey, I gotta go. I've got some stuff to take care of.”
“Sure, see you around!”
I wave and watch as my zoroark mimics the expression before I tap “disconnect” with a massive sigh of relief. I lean back and look up at the Pokémon staring expectantly back at me. I smile and reach my hands up and gently guide them down to kiss them. I let it linger for a bit before letting them pull away, when ready. They gently pull back and blink slowly, a smile clearly on their pointed snout. I smile back and glance at the screen, switching over to Selfie Mode. I smile as the Pokémon also looks at their reflection, seeming to pose slightly before I took the photo.
I turn off the screen and let the rotom-phone slip back into my pocket on its own, getting up and stretching before moving towards our couch. I sit, getting comfortable as the zoroark follows suit. I watch as the Pokémon looks at me for a moment, leaning over and wrapping its claws around my waist and resting their head against my chest in a cuddle. (Did you know that zoroarks purr?)
I chuckle softly and start to run my hands through their thick mane, feeling their breathing slow as they become more and more relaxed. We start to gradually shift a bit on the couch, ending with us laying on each other. (Well, more like having a zoroark lay on me.) Time passes by, the two of us hardly paying it any mind. I lean down and kiss the top of their head, watching and feeling them nuzzle even more into me. I smile, lost in thought…
“I heard back from a Professor in Unova, by the way.” Their ears perked slightly at my voice, watching as the zoroark opened its eyes and turning their head to rest their chin on my chest, looking directly into my eyes, almost expectantly.
“They…” I pause, not sure how to continue, “...well, they said they're not sure what… or, well… why you're…” I glance away, clearly nervous at how they'll react. I hear a soft “Rrrr…?” and look back at the expectant Pokémon. It leans up and licks my nose, eliciting a giggle from me.
“Pfff, ack! Stop that, haha…!” I sigh and smile; this was, after all, was person I promised to spend my life with. “Well… they did some research, and–”
It feels like I go onto a ramble, my mind darting from every conceivable related topic, attempting to piece together some sense with everything. I look back at my partner's eyes and pause before collecting my thoughts.
“–...sorry. They said that they have a theory, and could change you back, if you really–”
“Zorrrr…–”
I'm cut off by my partner’s voice and, somehow, knew exactly what they meant.
“We… I mean, we don't have to reply. After all,” I pause and scratch behind an ear, placing a kiss on their snout, watching as they smile and close their eyes, making soft, loving growls…
“...I think I could get used to this.”
