A predominantly analog follow-up variation to last summer's composition The Summer of '87 and its two other variations.
Featuring a more accurate emulation of the Roland VP-330 Vocoder Plus, originally produced from 1979 to 1980. I also used emulations of the Oberheim OB-Xa from 1981, the Roland D50 from 1987, the Yamaha CS-80 from 1977, the Yamaha DX7 from 1983, the Roland JX-8P from 1985, and the Roland Space Echo RE-201 tape delay from 1974. To simulate the chirping of birds at beginning of spring, I used the same "tape motor start" glitch technique previously featured at the beginning of A Change of Cosmic Address, Part 3.
It's worth mentioning that the VP-330 has earned its place as my #1 favorite string ensemble synthesizer of all time, with the Eminent 310 U from 1972 coming in at #2, and the Solina String Ensemble from 1974 at #3.
The key shift from A Major to B-Flat Major is meant to be a lead-in to The Summer of '87.
