Done after this gifset
Friendly reminder my furry!O'Brien is also an ungulate, so feel free to speculate here :D
.
ID: A digital, and mostly monochrome, sketch of Julian Bashir as an anthropomorphic aoudad, waist up. He is lying down, in Starfleet uniform for some reason, smiling very satisfied while a misterious hooved hand caresses his belly. End ID.

Oh, my goodness! That gifset is almost as good as animating the picture!
I respect the decision to make Bashir into a Barbary ram!
Those animals look very intimidating with their massive horns,
and yet you've made the species work handsomely with the character's
delicate build and personality! And those silky strands of hair on his cheeks and chin
give the aoudad Bashir a lot of refined flair.
His horn-clashing stubbornness
is expressed in his fierce loyalty
to his friends (like Garak), and his ethics, I suppose!
Love how you draw hoof-fingers!

Oh, I'm glad you like my decision, and the hooved hands!
We used to have aoudads in our zoo, I think around 15-10 years ago. The first time I met then, I was enchanted by their long, golden mane; and how it is hard to describe them exactly as a goat, or as a ram. They instantly joined my mental list of "favorite animals"!
And it was the same with Bashir! I first knew of the character watching TNG; there is a crossover episode when he meets Data. And Bashir was so cool and curious and sweet him him, so it was love at first sight!
I just realized about this later, it was unconscious when I designed the fursona. But that's what happened!
Also, fun fact, people really tend to assign Bashir to Pecora (deers, antelopes, goats) when making an animal-Bashir. I think the long legs and the bright eyes have something to do with it!

Yes, Bashir is very deer-like in his lanky and gentle (but also occasionally fierce!) appearance and personality!
Thank you for supplying those examples, they are unbelievably endearing!
And I'm also much obliged for your sharing that coincidence
of instant love for goat-rams and Alexander Siddigs!
Aoudads seem to be one of those clade-hedging animals that want to belong to several categories,
like spotted hyenas and cheetahs (between cats and dogs),
mountain and chamois goats (antelopes and goats),
maned wolves (canines and... deer, I guess?),
leopard seals (true seals and fur seals)...

Oooh! Thank you a whole bunch! That bubbly dark ocean floor window is a masterpiece!
So much water, so many fishes! I am very grateful to be so deep in the briny depths!
I know I started it, but it is so funny for the two of us to compliment each other
with those crown emojis, when we both are so opposed to the unjust hierarchies,
and would denounce monarchies wherever they are.
Perhaps they are ironic crowns? You could be the Queen of Tapirification,
and I could be the King of Text Walls!

Aaaah, I'm glad you enjoy the pixelated sea lion habitat!
About the crown, yeah, it is totally curious! For now on I say that, from rat's part, Pear is just playing with shiny things. Also, we really share/alternate the use of the crown!

Yes, let's just enjoy the shiny gems and metals on those spikey things!
No dominance, just glitter and gleam! Funny hats that don't protect against the rain!
Thank you for the hat party!
I've just had an idea for a golden crown with a baseball cap-style visor, also made of garish gold and jewels!
