Greetings.
Here is a continued sketch of Foxy. :)
I moved my pencil sketch to SAI.
Here are some references for Foxy as well (just because...? I guess...?). The 3D model picture is of FNAF:VR. The painted-style cutout is from Security Breach. Also, dude, I love the all of the art of Foxy that Steel Wool made for him in SB. :) :) :) He's SO cool and I LOVE the paint-y art style and UGH his CAPTAIN OUTFIT is so FUN--
Also, IDC what anyone says, cowboy foxy is such an off-the-wall rebrand that it loops around and becomes peak :)
(I have not played any FNAF game. Sorry for being a poser.)
Speaking of cowboy Foxy, his log ride shooting gallery...thing in Help Wanted 2 (again, haven't played but watched clips) made me hear the absolutely amazing car-slam phrase "Yee-Harr." Honestly, taking two genres of childhood imagination, pirates and cowboys, and just...smashing them together is so fun. I wasn't a cowboy kid nor a pirate kid (I was more of a space/science kid), but just the cutout of Foxy in cowboy clothes while still retaining a hook hand and eye patch gives me serotonin. Also, pirates are disability-positive for children's role models, pass it on.
Some notes while I am here on this early stage of drawing:
-I was never really good at drawing canines. No, I don't know why. I could draw herbivores better, especially (for some reason) hoofed animals such as deer, cows, and sheep (rams). From what I can see, his head might be too "tall," though I don't have many other ideas after that.
-I am deviating from his canon appearance. I am giving him a goatee and separate head hair. IDK if I want it to be this messy, short style or to change it to something longer (ponytail?).
-My idea of his body type might be thin and tall but still muscular. Lanky. Athletic. Acrobatic. Or I could zap him with the Bara Ray 5000 (TM). You know, because I can.
-Oh god posing. I have been tossing around in my head two main ideas for this: sitting confidently on a chair with legs slightly spread to show masculinity and dominance or laying down on his side "Draw Me Like One Of Your French Girls" eating-dinner-like-a-classical-Roman. I haven't really drawn many differences in poses in my art journey. My exception, I think, is the elf worker geologist who is rappelling because his body is curved. Anyway, if I want him to be wearing a diving suit/diving gear, the first option works best. However, the second option is kind of funny to think about because it's impractical yet shows a lot of character. To be laying yourself on your side is a sultry, suave pose. As a pirate (cowboy?) captain, Foxy gets what he wants, I think. To mirror his species, he could be seen as sly, mischievous, charismatic, and nimble. Like, I am thinking the whole nine yards here: rose petals, wine, candles, gold, chocolates all while Foxy is there poised on a chaise lounge.
-I am still working on Joseph and Brody, so please excuse the time that I might take to get more attention here. Sorry. :(
I get bored of projects really quickly, so I'm sorry if that ruins things. :(
I hope that this was a good read for you all. Please enjoy, and have a great day! :)
