It all started out so simple! I had been talking to Ama about how she had wanted to do Iron Artist-ish commissions, really fast, one after another, and had thought about taking World of Warcraft themed ones. I immediately said I'd want to have myself drawn as the particular type of naga one finds in that game. This was months and months ago!
Since then, both Ama and I became all the more enraptured by the project, and it developed from a quick sketch sort of piece into quite the beautiful full scene. And on my side of things, I felt the need to explain a normal naga such as myself being present in Azeroth, since the idea evolved into it being me transforming into a WoW-naga.
I began to develop and write a mini-story where a pair of adventurers belonging to Ama and her boyfriend (the in-game couple are seen here: LINK ), encountered me and fell prey to the sort of thing I typically make people fall prey to! >:}===<
(Along the way, Ama was so enamoured with my writing about her WoW-counterparts that she drew this picture: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5364952/ and I then ALSO wrote a tiny story for THAT picture, all thanks to this WoW-naga idea that was still in progress.)
Nevertheless, it's all done now! You've already seen the picture, and the story is over here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5596052

You mean in WoW, in general? Yeah, I prefer the more bestial look too, with the animalistic snout and all. But the idea of such gender dimorphism is cool, sometimes. I don't think the female nagas are THAT bad, though. Or maybe it's just how they look in-game, with the limitation of the graphics?
Anyway, thanks for the fave, but Sheba is the one who did the picture! :}===<

Oh... Oh my! You always seem to surprise me so well with your creations and writings. Wow. I love the sight of that serpent's body. It's so rich of detail and such. I also see the body dissolving into snake scales. I have no idea why that is so I'll have to read the story!
En garde! Onto the story!
En garde! Onto the story!
Whee, connective comments! I mean, I like how you commented here and then went to read the story and then said something there too. I get to see a little story of how you went from not knowing why that familiar, pythonic snake-scale pattern is present, in the picture, to after you read the story!
Anyway, glad you liked the picture! Thanks for faving both my and Sheba's postings of it. :}===<

Haha, you were able to follow my life for a few minutes then I see! :D
But about the oh-so-well-known snake pattern; it was very recognisable and I knew whose scales those were, that's why I said "why". There's a large world of second-layer-context in this picture that you will never know if you haven't read the story. Which is why I went to read it. :3==<

Sheba-Windstorm deserves some praise too! Her posting is linked above. :>

Thanks for the fave on this.. and on the seven other pics you faved! :}===<
AND much obliged for the watch, good sir kobold. I'm sure you know, but I'm just a writer, not an artist. All the pics in my gallery (and all the pics you faved) are by others, but I did the writing that accompanies them. (or rather, the art is just to accompany my writing! >_> )
