Knights of The Order of The Elementals
These are the examples of knights from The Knight Order of The Elementals in my fantasy world Karamador, part of the same knight order that Sir Kiljaos the lion paladin of wind was part of before he was exiled for his disobeydence. We also see the common insignias of each divine element of the nature and the holy light.
Some more lore about this Knight Order:
There are four divine elements of nature that were created by the holy light: Wind, Fire, Water, and Earth. Together all these forces make the life possible in the vast void of darkness and have even created sentient life on planets that orbit the starts, including the one called Karamador.
On Karamador these sentient beings, humans and anhini-animals, are tasked to spread the miracle of life on this planet and uphold the balance of nature. For this task The Council of The Elementals were formed, which consists of humans and anhinis who have been blessed with the elemental souls and have managed to awaken these souls. Remaining a neutral party with members from all (or at least most) nations of Karamador, the task of this council is to keep order in Karamador, including fighting the forces of darkness and put stop to unnecessary wars.
Those with awakened elemental souls can put the powers of their element in use in many different ways. This includes using them with the combat methods martial warriors, and this led to the creation of The Knight Order of The Elementals. Being a subsidiary of The Council of The Elementals, this knight order consists of knights who are also elementals and utilize these powers with the combat methods of the knights.
The Order was founded during the first counted age by The Champion, The Avatar of Divine Elements, the only person in Karamador's history who was born with the souls of all four main elements and thus was able to master all the elements. The Order's purpose was to uphold the chivalric virtues and the order of the forces of nature, by helping The Council to fight off the forces of darkness and chaos, and spread goodwill across all the nations of Karamador. These are the goals of both The Council and The Order to this day, but their success with these have been varying and thorough the ages there have been concerns of corruption from within in them both.
One of The Order's biggest differences to The Council though are the members who have been blessed with the powers of pure light itself, which is a rare gift. These members are usually the leading figures of The Order.
As for their insignias, the knights of The Order wear either the common insignia of each divine element or the holy light, or their own family insignia that may have their own representation of the element (like for example Sir Kiljaos Windmane's wind rose insignia).
Neither The Council or The Order members bear the power of the fifth element, aether, the force that binds the four natural elements together. The power of aether is used in different ways by the mages and other knights and warriors instead, but the international grand Mages Guild is an ally of The Council and The Order.
Naturally, the dark powers of the void are commonly forbidden by The Council and The Order, as these are dark and vile powers. Though some argue that the powers of darkness could be used for good as well and to keep the world in balance.
