I did a little experiment and drew the whole piece on dark blue paper to achieve a better darker effect. The last time I worked in this style was a few years back with this fanart > https://www.furaffinity.net/view/47048785/
And although the scanner wasn't very kind, I hope it still looks neat enough x3

Oh my goodness, both Sparkz and Tres need to behave. :'D Anyhoo, I gotta say this looks really good! And you did this on a dark blue paper? Wow, it sounds like it'd be hard, but the end result was clearly worth it! It kinda inspires me to try something like that... I'd need to get back into doing some traditional art though. Maybe one day! :D

Well, the hardest thing for me to do here was to sketch because I could barely see what I was drawing. But once that was done and the solid lineart allowed the composition to be seen clearly, coloring was a lot of fun! So yes, it's definitely worth a try. Just come up with some kind of plot at night or in a dark place where it fits.

I think the texture of the entire piece looks incredibly consistent and well done and even intentional here. I think the darker colors the scanner did was a positive for the ambiance overall!
I really like how Demon’s expression says on one hand, he’d love to see the fight, but he cares just enough to not let anyone hurt Tres but himself. The body language says it all. Of course he’d scruff Tres rather than hold him back like Enzo is. Spenzo is a relationship on a different level and dynamic and you portrayed it very well here. I like how Sparkz has elements of his earlier design while still maintaining his currently style so well here. You do snarling expression perfectly and really tell a story why Sparkz is the angriest one of all here.
First time with Enzo, looks like you’ve been drawing him forever. Excellent work on that part. I’ll bet Enzo and Demon just wanna have a drink and decompress from their normal work rather than keeping their boyfriends from tearing each other apart. Sigh. Thank you so much this came out so well!
