This is the first story in a new series that I'm writing. All comments and critiques are greatly appreciated. Just writing this to clear my head. If you like it, please leave a comment and keep reading the stories as I make them.
I'm not sure where to go after this, I've got two options. Either I will continue on from where this left off, or I will write a chapter that gives information on the main character's past to help everyone know him better. I would like to hear what all of you think I should do.

Hey, this wasn't half so bad!
It's unfortunate though that story's, in comparison to artwork or poetry, get a lot less credit... they should be better known.
But as for your story itself:
I liked it, and what really made it work was the authenticity and uniqueness of each individual talked about in the book. If that be the Harbor Master, with his accent, or the squirrel Receptionist, and her cheery behavior.
Wondering what the next entry will hold.

Thanks again for your comment, it helps me get motivated to keep writing. :)
I'm going to be reading some books to help me develop my writing style more, so hopefully things will only get better from here.
