For the casual observer, the wolf character in this strip is a multifaceted guy. In the full color panels, you see what is really happening - our reality. In the gray-scale panels, you see what HE sees - his delusion, his reality. The difference is that, in his reality (grays), he is "Zero-G Lunar, Space Wolf", a hero in outer space along the lines of the old "Flash Gordon" type of black and white serials of the 1940s. In our reality, the real reality, he is actually Glen Hodgson, an escaped mental patient who has delusions.
I love Zero-G as a character. He's crazy, the whole premise is insane, and he's so cute! Drawing his strips, though, are a pain in the ass as I want to do the whole comic in full color... but then the strip wouldn't make sense because it doesn't convey the craziness of having two realities.
Also, please remember that his house is wrapped in tin foil. That's why it is gray in appearance in the reality segments with Fontaine and Lorin.
This robot hasn't got a name just yet. I'm bouncing ideas around, though. Maybe Asdik, that's a nice sci-fi sounding name. (It is one of the names for the early RADAR system used in ocean going vessels during WW2. Yes, I am that much of a geek.)
