They'll all learn how things work in Drift's home soon enough.
Some of them are just too impatient to learn in a non-scary way, is all.
Also, Grower's toes are light in the first panel, but in the second and last they're the same color as the fur. I didn't notice the last one until I noticed how clear the difference was between first and second panel, so I just thought I'd make you aware as well. c:

No, it isn't. Noisy Boy isn't looking at Slayer, he's looking where Drift is looking. Correlation is NOT causation. Also, there are only two possibilities. Either Slayer is really there, or he isn't. If Slayer isn't there, then he's a figment of Drift's imagination, and the only things he can tell Drift are things that Drift already knows... even if Drift doesn't know that he knows them. He can act as Drift's conscience or remind Drift of things that he's forgotten, or that he only knows at a subconscious level. He can even tell Drift things that Drift BELIEVES are true, whether the actual Slayer believed them or not, but he can't tell him anything Drift honestly doesn't know. The only things he can tell Drift are ideas that are already in Drift's head somewhere.
On the other hand, if he's REAL, he can tell Drift anything that Slayer actually knew. He could even do ghostly scouting for Drift's benefit, seeing things that are hidden from Drift's sight, smell, and hearing and return to tell him about it - Information that Drift CANNOT know by himself, but which can later be proven to be correct.
So ask yourself: Why was Drift still wearing the splints after all this time? Because even though Slayer knew they needed to come off eventually, he never told Drift what they were for or how long they needed to stay on, so Drift never knew it either consciously or subconsciously... and that's why Ghost-Slayer never told him it was time to take them off - that information isn't in Drift's head. That clearly points to option #1. So far nothing has happened with Slayer that falls under option #2.
