This is Aramis. Aramis was an incredibly special boy, my little fuzzy companion. He always wanted to be within reach. When I worked, he would sit in a little box on my desk; while I slept, he set himself up just by my arm; when I woke up, he'd curl up on my legs or chest until it was time to get up. His purr was intense and loud and freely given, and his love was widely spread to anyone who came to the door.

He was the ultimate lap cat.

He came into my life at 16 after a friend had a new child who was super allergic; I had just recently lost my little 21 year old kitty Sunshine, and I had known Aramis since kittenhood. Taking him in was the perfect solution for both of us.

For the next three years he made my life better, and I gave him the best life I could.

Two weeks ago, I had to help him pass along. Winter was kind enough to work with me on a commemorative portrait for him, for which I'm forever grateful.
