Well past the size of the planet now, having it somewhat perched onto his shoulder, and not a whole lot of ways for him to carry out things other than to use other cosmic bodies for such. Still, a whole astronomical unit of distance is still quite the distance for the guard, and while he didn't want to aim dead center, the lack of gravity for the shot means he was able to give it a metaphorical haircut.
