Season of Penance Day 20
This was...satisfying to draw. No worrying about prompts, proportions, etc. Just throwing raw feelings onto the canvas and letting it take shape. This week I was in a rather depressed mood, just very low energy and lacking motivation thanks to personal issues and work nonsense. I think I had a realization about this state and am on the road to recovery. At the very least, work will not be able to interrupt my flow for the rest of this art challenge. I should really try doing mood pieces and scenery like this more often, think it turned out pretty well.
As always please feel free to leave comments and critiques below, after all feedback is how I will improve my craft in the future.^^

I agree, this piece I like very much in particular! There's something to be said about just drawing based on feelings/emotions/vibes. I think it's because when you do that, your brain isn't restraining you, and you just kind of get into the zone.
I really like those waves you did. Water's very difficult for me to portray usually, but I'd say you certainly captured the spirit of it. Reminds me of impressionist styles.
Good work!

Next time I am feeling fatigued with art and don't really feel like doing anything, I need to just remind myself vibing a piece is a totally valid option. I don't have to go off the prompts or try something big, just a picture on feel can be reenergizing in itself.
And thank you, I am very inspired by Monet and the Impressionists. I try to incorporate their thinking and technique into backgrounds most of the time. With a background or scenery, the important thing is the general feeling and look of the place you are trying to portray.
