Hehehe, i caught the "It's a Wonderful Life" reference there. When she says that there's nothing stopping her from climbing into the bath with Fred it's effectively the same thing George says to Mary when finding out that her robe accidentally came off as they were walking home. Only here it's the woman who makes the same observation George does and then Fred saying he'll scream just as Mary does when she's hiding in the bush.

Ehehehe, yes and indeed it was funny. Also yeah i can see why you cut straight to Fred taking a bath in this and the last strip. As you mentioned elsewhere it was because also showing Kathy having one would've taken too much time to illustrate, along with not spoiling about her and the robe. Also, i wonder if she was just teasing there about joining him in the tub even if she's already been...or if she's serious. Well i guess we'll see what happens in regard to that next time.
