I love snakes so much so it was a pleasure to work on Syrinx a complex and interesting character
with telekinesis abilities and even hairs. Thatβs not something common for sure !

I'm going to add a bit of additional information about Syrinx.
Syrinx comes from an evolved ophidian (which is the fancy term for "snake-like") race.
As they evolved, their first major change was the ability to use a telekinetic force to manipulate objects. This is manifested through a portion of the brain, and channeled through an organ in their hood which acts in a manner similar to a transmitter. When their telekinesis is in use, their hood is seen to glow at the edges. While initially only one telekinetic force was manifested, with time their ability grew to include multiple telekinetic manipulators simultaneously.
Their next evolution was developing arms and hands. Some may consider this the outward result of an inner visualization that begun an entire genomic shift as a result. At first as just stubby limbs, as they evolved, similar to other nearby races, her species developed fully articulated limbs. At the same time, this is when the evolution of their multi-point telekinetic manipulation began. Many of them began to visualize their telekinesis as "phantom hands", and this visualization became the typical way for youngsters to be taught how to use their telekinetic abilities.
This is also the time when it became customary for people to carry tools designed only for phantom hand use, tools lacking handles or having surfaces which would be damaging were you to use physical hands. Syrinx uses both her curved blade as well as the spike ball as phantom hand tools.
( Side Note: The number of hands you can manifest is also something of a measure of your social standing. The leader of her people is also known as "She Of A Hundred Hands". Syrinx can manifest two hands.
The last evolution was to begin to grow hair. The scales of the hood begun to develop follicles, with the hair growing out from under the scale to add an additional layer. With this, the practice of growing one's hair was a sign of peaceful intention, of avoiding unnecessary conflict; on the opposite side of this, when her race have intentions of violence, of there is war/battle, shaving one's hair to expose the hood is now also a tradition. Hidden under Syrinx's hair is a full eye-and-loop pattern like that of the Indian spectacled cobra... but that will only be shown should it ever happen that she needs to go to war.
There wasn't really space to include all of this history and biology in the drawing, so I hope this clears a few things up which may be a bit vague or unclear.
