I had heard that idea floated around a bit, along side the meme with one being protective over the attention of a diver.
I love lemon sharks, they’re some of my favourite sharks, and they’re some of the most intelligent, but while theyre among the more social sharks, i don’t think there’s more than anecdotes to support them feeling jealousy. Now personally i choose to believe they do, but on a scientific level i would be forced to say that there isn’t much evidence for it.
That said im not minimising their intelligence, they have outperformed house cats on a classic conditioning test.
