So I pulled up some old stuff I had done in 2006 and decided to finally do something with it. The result: seven short tracks of complete randomness I threw together using Renoise (www.renoise.com).

HGRDX (track 6 of 7): sometime around 2000 I came up with this (admittedly repetitive) tune that was originally supposed to be the background music for a bar fight between a hunter and a nerd in a movie I was making with an awesome program called 3D Movie Maker and (man, that's one long sentence!). I composed a MIDI of it (second version of which is here: http://files.thegerf.net/huntergenius2.mid) and had it all ready to go, but in the end wound up using a different song. Years later for a game development class, I gave the music to our official musician who remixed it into the game's main battle theme. For some reason it still felt a little... lacking, so I made it again in Renoise and, as usual, abused all the filters and stuff to no end. This song used to play over and over while my friends and I were playtesting and debugging that game... man, good times.

Oh, and the title is supposed to mean "Hunter Genius ReDuX," minus the wacky capitalization.
