Here's another new character of mine, Meimu's Hisuian Zorua cousin Tomoko. Her family is well known for their skills at forging swords as well as wielding them in battle. Meimu's mom Sumizome was a bit of an odd one out in the family however, taking more of an interest in painting and such than blacksmithing and sword fighting. She claims she's 'more of a lover than a fighter', although she DID meet Meimu's father Kouen because he visited the Murakamis to see if he could get some more swords for his collection.
Tomoko's more modest than Meimu, but that's not a very high bar to clear to be fair. She's more battle savvy than her cousin too, and would love to carry a sword or two around if it wasn't for some pesky laws. As a result, she sometimes carries around a wooden training sword and will make use of it however she can. She's far from harmless with it, and even without it she can manifest blades out of spectral energy. She's always ready for a fight, and she's just as ready to talk your ear off about smithing techniques, what materials make the best edge for a blade, the difference in blacksmithing approaches between old Hisuian blacksmiths and more modern ones, etc. etc. etc.
No, she's not gonna be the subject of this month's pic (I do think I'll use her in May for Zorua Day tho). I just felt like sharing another new character I've been working on in between pics. There's another one I'm working on too, but that one's probably a ways off, still need to nail down a few more details, lol
