TL;DR - Since Magnus has been such a kind host to Warez, the yellow dragon wanted to treat the big to one of his favorite restaurants after all that gem collecting, Devlin’s Treats. During their meal, something a little unexpected was said that got Warez a little choked up.

After learning gems are more than just priceless rocks and have monetary value, Warez went absolute hog wild to pick up every gem his eyes laid sights on, and after a few weeks of collecting he had a gem sack filled to the brim. With his new savings, he would find it fitting to treat his friend to a nice meal after everything he’s done for him thus far.

“Hey Magnus, since I know you have a sweet tooth, how about I take you someplace nice? Someplace like Devlin’s Treats.” Warez announced before getting Magnus’s full attention. Instead of getting a normal response, Magnus firmly placed his hands on Warez’s shoulders pinned him to the wall, and looked at him with a serious expression.

“I do hope you know what you’re asking. That you want to treat this dragon in your midst to dine out at one of his favorite restaurants. I hope both you and your wallet truly mean that,” Magnus stated looking deep into the emerald eyes of the yellow dragon. Warez noticed that his friend's hopes began to rise as his tail began to wag side to side eagerly waiting for his reply.

“Well yeah! I think it’ll be fun trying some new tasty treats with ya, I heard good things about this place.” Warez insisted.

“Well, what are we waiting for!! Come on come on, there’s no time to waste!” Magnus shouted before rushing over to open the door at breakneck speed, his eyes lighting up like Christmas trees from how excited he was.

The two make their way to the restaurant, greet Devlin, and take their seats, as they didn’t waste any time ordering and Magnus was ordering about everything off the menu. If that wasn’t enough Magnus even began telling the waiter of items that were on the secret menu to get as well. Warez tries his best not to think of what the bill is gonna be once the waiters begin to bring out a plethora of different desserts. From different flavors of cupcakes and cakes to cookies, to multiple flavors of ice cream, to candies like jawbreakers and licorice ropes, they even brought out a small chocolate fondue fountain for them to dip their sweets into. The two would enjoy each other’s company and continue to throw back the desserts like it was an eating competition and then lick their lips after each gulp.

As Warez would begin to slow down he would start to flick pieces of chocolate in the air and catch them in his mouth.
“Man this was a great day, the food here is phenomenal!” Warez said smacking his lips before tossing another piece of chocolate into the air.

“Haha yeah, I told you this place was incredible. Talk about a great first date!” Magnus proclaimed having the widest smile on his face.

Even though the two were bonding Warez wasn’t prepared to hear the “d” word and lost focus for the smallest of nanoseconds and got the piece of chocolate he threw in the air lodged in his throat and began choking and gasping for air. Magnus now in panic mode from seeing his friend struggling for oxygen gets up and smacks Warez on the back as hard as he can and dislodges the piece of chocolate before it goes flying onto the neighboring table’s bowl of cereal.

“Oh my gosh, Warez are you alright?! If I knew it was that much of an issue I should’ve stayed quiet.” Magnus blurted out before looking a little saddened about his blunder.

“NO YOU’RE FINE,” Warez stated, tearing up and coughing still trying to regain his composure and filling his lungs back up with oxygen. “I just….you said……..t-this is a date?” Warez blabbered as his ears drooped down and a blush appeared on his face. A nervous smile appeared on Magnus’s face before he spoke up to answer the question.

“Well, you thought of bringing and treating me to my favorite place, and you’ve been saying nothing but nice things since we met. B—but if that’s not what you’re looking for then you can forget what I said, I be saying the dumbest things at times.” Magnus would continue to ramble on trying to recover from the situation and Warez would find it kind of cute seeing the big guy all flustered. Instead of cutting him off with words, Warez would grab some cake off the table and shove it into Magnus’s mouth preventing him from speaking.

“Hey, I appreciate you being considerate of my feelings, but you don’t need to worry about a thing. Besides I agree with you, this was a great place for a first date.” Warez remarked with confidence. Magnus looked down at Warez and smiled feeling a little better before licking his lips and chewing up his face full of cake. He then would give Warez a big dragon hug before looking into his eyes and about to make the first move to kiss him but was interrupted by the waiter coming back to the table.

“Your bill gentlemen.” said the waiter before placing the bill on the table and taking his leave. Warez would wiggle his way out of the hug before glancing at the triple-digit bill. Magnus would see Warez’s ears perk up, his eyes widen and his jaw drop upon looking at the receipt.

“Umm, Warez is everything alright?” Magnus asked before seeing Warez snap back to reality.

“Y-yeah, everything is fine! Nothing to worry about here.” Warez said hiding the bill behind his back with a nervous smile.

“Hand it over let me take a look, it can’t be that bad,” Magnus said as he outstretched his hand to see the damage. Warez would hand the bill over and after seeing what was printed his pupils shrank and his jaw dropped now coming to terms that the bill was ridiculously high. He looked back up to share in Warez’s grief but realized he already walked over to the cashier, handing him his entire pouch filled with gems, and then walked back over to him.

“Before you say anything, it’s because I wanted to, my treat. You’ll just have to cover the bill next time.” Warez said with a smirk making Magnus chuckle.

“Haha sounds more than good to me, buddy.” Magnus said putting an arm over Warez’s shoulder as the two casually walked out of Devlin’s Treats to perhaps get themselves into something else for the rest of the day.”
