I asked for recommendations on what to draw a few nights ago and got the following in quick succession:
- Lobster
- Pants
- Kap/Jinck
So, I mashed 'em all together and came up with the above pic. Kapler and Jinck are characters in the survivor-style role-playing contest Midnight Mossflower 2. Jinck's 'mother' is the wren Vivienne who is a little... over-supportive, perhaps in the imagined relationship between Jinck and Kapler.

Some day when I have time I'll make a character for one of these survivor fic contests. I remember one time I kidded about including a transsexual character and seeing how the other players reacted, but in Mossflower society gender seems to be almost irrelevant, at least in the later books, so maybe it wouldn't work ...

I think it could still be a really interesting possibility! The great thing about the survivor fics is that we're allowed to deviate from canon to a point. It was actually a really big deal to a lot of folks a while back when a gay character got in and won a contest. And the most recent contest has another gay character, though that one's been very subtle. I still suspect there will be some gasps when the epilogue reveals that she enjoys snuggling with the ladies. ;P
