I love them both as well and i think it would be a very fitting thing for the story and character growth, for them from rivals and being different to become a couple that is able to understand eachother and compensate whatever they lacked in themselves by being different and having different views, to add up for it. And the dude suffered a lot, Winter I mean, it's kinda painful to see his life only getting worse the more series goes, i feel like the author hates his own character and just want to have suffering train for him until he'll die alone or something, gosh our icy boi is done dirty by the writer/s.
Yeah, the way the others treated Winter in the back half of the second arc was just awful honestly. A literal legend from thousands of years ago comes back, tries to kill all the IceWings, puts a spell on Winter, and somehow he's framed as in the wrong and the bad guy for getting upset about it when his love interest says "but the guy trying to kill your entire kind is my friend tho :("?? As well as in the epilogue being told that he's the one who should apologize, I just feel so bad for him
