After all this time I finally managed to get a reference sheet made of my main character! Meet Korin!


Once upon a time in around March 2018 I was sitting in class being mighty bored when all of a sudden the idea of an anthro arctic fox popped up in my mind, said arctic fox ended up being Korin. It's crazy for me to think that he's the 3rd character I ever made (we don't talk about the first 2, especially not the first one).

I ended up building up a whole novel's worth of lore for him but I've yet to tell the whole story to anybody, the original lore was (and still is) admittedly kinda edgy but after thousands upon thousands of revisions I got Korin's story to a point where I feel it's just right. I'm planning on writing a small novella sometime in the near future (if I'll find a way to cure my chronic apathy). The 'Korin' name I took from a very old fanfic I read somewhere on the Twokinds forum, I just ended up expanding on it. The way naming works in arctic fox society is Maternal name, Given name, Paternal name, in that order. Auriga was Korin's mother's given name, it is the name of a real life constellation, this name was originally Arugami but I changed it because I really didn't like how japanese it sounded. Korinthos is their full given name, it is the Greek name of the ancient city of Κόρινθος, just romanised with the acutes omitted. Pleis is his father's given name which I just came up with one day, later finding out it is an actual german surname!

In terms of looks he's gone through quite a few changes over the years, the canonical look is just a plain white arctic fox with cyan eyes but I just couldn't resist the temptation to make a pimped up version of 'em. And thus this is the latest version of a pimped up Korin!
