This head was made as part of a collab with Instagram artist @/primeshiba . The construction of this head was started back in February of 2022 and a portion of the profit was intended to go towards a relief fund for severe Typhoon winds which had just struck the Philippines. The head was originally christened "Tala," a common Filipino name, and was designed by Filipino artist, Primeshiba. However, because I was making this head in-between other commissions, by the time it was finished and ready to be posted for sale, Filipino typhoon relief funds had ended. After some digging, I discovered Oxfam Aotearoa, a New Zeland based branch of the Oxfam family dedicated to fights for "climate justice, gender justice and economic justice" for Pacific Islanders.

At some point, Primeshiba became busy with personal matters and was forced to back down from the collab. Primeshiba had only designed the head up to that point. I finished the job by designing the body and creating the character ref which can be found here.

Tala was put up for auction at the Dealer's Den JUNE 8TH 2022 with the starting price of $1500USD with the info that additional profit made beyond the base $1500 would be donated to Oxfam. You can watch the original advertisement here on TikTok which also discuses additional features like detachable parts and range of vision.

Tala remained up for auction on the dealer's den for 1 or 2 week(s) (can't exactly remember) but ultimately did not sell. Finally, she was posted for sale on Etsy for the price of $1500 with the promise that $500 of the $1500 would be donated to Oxfam.

Tala was finally sold on AUGUST 11TH 2022 to her current owner @/Splendid_Saber (or Splendid_Meowdy) on Instagram and the promised amount was donated to Oxfam. Tala was renamed Splendid and their pronouns were changed to [he/him]. Meowdy and I continue to stay in touch and they are a very lovely person.

Additional parts for Splendid were constructed between April and September of 2023, thus completing the partial.
