After the incident with the Wonderbolts in the Land of Dragons, Kay got herself a conference with Amber and indirectly blamed her for everything that happened with Spit and Soarin. Of course, the dragon queen did not like such an accusation in her direction and they had a real conflict right in the throne room.

"How dare you say that about me, you filthy mare?! Would I stain myself like that?!
- Choose your words, Ember. You have power over these lands and only you know what's going on here."


After the events of the main plot, MLP Kay began to communicate more closely with Desh and Spit, at one time she even lived with them in Cloudsdale, learning more about life at the Academy and its structure. And all the events that happened to Desh greatly excited her. She was one of those who attended the unveiling of the posthumous monument.
