Hey! An issue I don't seem to see brought up very often: not liking unasked touching but having issues with verbalizing that boundary/displeasure.
Since like 99% of the people I see in real life (that I care about) do not have this issue, I go with the assumption that they like or are neutral about it BUT pay close attention if its the first time I go for a shoulder pat or hug or something. If they show even the tiniest hint that they don't like it for whatever reason, I will forevermore ask permission before any touching at all.
But then I do also find myself in very large family gatherings, and if I asked each individual person first I might not be done even greeting everyone before its over (exaggeration). Not uncommon for me to show up to the next Xmas gathering and there being like 5 people I have either never seen before or do not recognize.
