I cheated for this one. I'm not proud of myself for doing so, but I am NOT great in drawing Sonic Style. So, just this once, I swallowed my pride as an artist and resorted to performing the cardinal sin of asking an AI Program for help. I guess I'm just too sentimental to say goodbye to this him and would do anything to avoid a thousand tries to get it right. So, here we are.

Retroactively, plan A for Jade was to retool him to fit with the new information we got on the Chaos Emeralds as, what else, an artificial bat in the vein of Project Shadow who got deposited on the Starfall Islands after the Prison Island incident. But, that would erase years of story and character development. And, if I'm resorting to tricks like this, I guess I'm glad with him being his own thing. With this entry in the Jadenverse series (A stain I will gladly wear with pride as a badge of honor for the upwards of 17 years I kept him alive), I have made peace with that.
