...holy freaking cow.. how long did you spend working on this? It looks stunning. The work on the gun alone is simply stunning, then everything else just seems to ADD to it.

It all looks so freaking professional.. how can you dare call it a "sketch" when this itself seems like a work of art..

Yes, this is the first time I've ever seen one of your pieces. After a quick tour of your gallery I see that this isn't the only piece of yours that shares the same air of quality =P

Certain areas need to be refined and cleaned up, and he's proooobably gonna put ink to this. A pencilled piece's totally finished without any hangups, and from what BNG's saying, there's a few things that he still wants to add to it.

So, in the end, he's gonna improve on this. You's gunna assplode!

I only take the time to get the fundamentals down, because when it's done the sketch won't be seen at all. That also makes inking a waste of time.
But you're right, it's only as much as I need to lay colours over, so it has a few problems that I'll fix.

SNIPERS FTW!! X3 Snipers are the BOMB. Halo: Sniper Rifle. Halo 2: Sniper Rifle. Phantasy Star Online I & II: some form of ranger's sniper rifle. XD

How about you base your claims on reality rather than video games. Especially Halo.

Kids and frigin video games, no one seems to know what war is realy about. Not seem to realize sniper rifles aren't for running in with, snipers rarely ever even get to take a shot let alone assault a frigin enemy position with one.

Very nicely done, even if the rifle isn't quite right. As it happens I have a sniper variant M91/30. If you'd like some digital photos of the scope mount, reciever, etc, let me know, I'd be happy to forward you some. (have to dig up my camera though.) :)

I'll try to get a 'thru-the-scope' shot as well. the PU scope (no that's actually what they called it)has 2 thick bars from the sides, and a middle post that tapers to a point at the end.

Actually, I think it's just how the eyes are, and how meticulous the linework is.

Kick ass work on this dude, the reflection looks good, and the eyes realy bring him to life.

You just proved to yourself that you have skill in any visual art you do, no matter if it is pornography, or a good story, because by the degree that you know the human anatomy, settings, and perspective, you can draw just about anything with relative ease, although it may be tedious.

By showing us your skills with perspective by the gun, I can say that your job will be well met as a professional character designer, or artist.

Who's the target? My sniper kitty might want to lend a helping paw or two :P

Dunno what it is about this picture. It could be a combination of the concise detail in the gun, the amazing facial expression, or just the awesomeness of the character design.

In short, I envy your artistic talents, and love this picture! You should do more of this military-themed stuff!
