I hope having a shit teacher didn't demotivate you from learning 3D modeling/Blender.
Two years ago, I'd get lost in the UI in Blender. Now I'm pretty confident with it. I still follow tutorials for certain things but yeah. You can always remake this or do a new model if following a tutorial.
