Commission for
Draoid

yes you can commission me to write theme music for your sona, now! if you're into that.
Theme explanation: Draoid is a raccoon, a clever and crafty petty thief in the big city attempting to pay off his debts. With charm and wit, he has a magnetic charisma and playful energy that charms his company to overlook his questionable intentions. The initial musical melody captures the “twisted playground” of his energy and psyche, something at once joyous and mischievous and even a little dangerous. A wonky/offbeat playfulness with a sketchy edge. It is almost entirely major chords with tri-tones, though only one B-minor chord variation through some Chord progression part 2 resolutions, to remind him of a hint of guilt that waits for him. Throughout most of the theme there is a “siren” melody in the background, constantly reminding the raccoon that he is on the run, yet this minimal, repetitive siren melody blends in and out of the chord progressions and other melodies in a harmonious way, representing the raccoon’s ability to turn being on the run into a kind of joyous game. The climactic chord progression (part 2) represents the various powers he eludes yet collaborates with simultaneously, his history that he has eluded yet remains a part of him, but most significantly, it’s the sun and the open sky of the big city, and how he turns that big, vast city into his personal playground of thievery and conniving. The theme returns to its beginning at the end, the cycle of his behaviors going from the humble to the grand and back to the humble again. yet the melody stutters at the end, representing his skills with sleight of hand.
