I started drawing this a while ago, but never got around to finishing it... until now~!

I have already shared the story between Lilly and Sonic, where he was left on her front porch by a mysterious stranger. The female mobian and her husband were involved in a Great War in Mobius and had no choice but to take their son to Earth, knowing that he would be safe there.

In Shadow's case, Sophie adopted him from the Station Square orphanage, after hearing about the events aboard the Space Colony ARK, and that her previous employer, GUN, were behind what had happened to his family.

Here, in the image, we see Lilly taking in the little orphaned hedgehog, who had been left on her doorstep, and Sophie welcoming little Shadow into her home after a successful adoption of him, and, by law, he was given the surname of Miller, to match his mama's~ <3
