Your sketches always look like they are as good as they can get,
and like they can't be improved upon, but then you publish
the final color piece, it's somehow so much better!
This really looks like a still frame from a high quality animated feature film!
I love those pale blue highlight on the purple seats, it's one of the best
color combinations out there, and it powerfully atmospheric!
The little safety light and the illuminated exit sign
are excellently rendered and placed!
And the character is so much
more alive and vivid,
even with the modest earthy colors!
Donkeys are wonderful and critically underrepresented – thank you for helping to fix that!

I don't get many shaded pictures, they are a lot of hard work and literally dozen of layers, but they are so fun to draw. I'm glad you appreciate the lights!
For the characters, credits to CaseyDonk! I went totally "aaaaaaaawwww" when I saw the reference sheet for the commission. I love hooved animals and this palette is superb. We really need to see more donkeys around.
