Season of Penance Day 8
Been a hot minute since I've done a tree drawing and wanted to see if I've improved with some of the new techniques I've been experimenting with. My concern is I went a bit heavy on the mist or too light on the leaves to where there isn't enough contrast. I'll have to remember that in the future, then again if I had done this in color it would have been a moot point since the foliage would have been green.
As always please feel free to leave comments and critiques below, after all feedback is how I will improve my craft in the future.^^

Painting in black and white is a great way to get used to the color values, that is, how light or dark a color is... it's a principle that gets used even in colored paintings, a good constrast between values always looks pleasing!
Another tip I have is to pay attention to how usually, elements that are far away from the eye appear lighter in color (for example, mountains in the horizon)
