Here we are. A story 18 years in the making. With help from my best friend, we were finally able to solidify the story, plot, characters, and world, and get this story off the ground. It does deal with some really heavy topics, so be warned that there might be triggers, should you choose to follow. Hopefully people will get as much enjoyment out of the story as we had, writing it.
So what's it about?
The setting is a post-apocalyptic, alternate Earth. Most of the planet was destroyed by a rogue AI program, called Apollo. However, one continent was able to be saved by the goddess Athena, and was able to evolve and adapt to urban life today. Now, Apollo is making his presence known within the existing cities, and new information is coming to light. Who created Apollo? Are gods actually real, or are they just powerful, mortal beings? Most importantly, what does it mean to truly be human?
As if all of that wasn't enough pressure, god's grandson is having an identity crisis over the sudden realization that he's going to outlive everyone he's grown close to. So y'know, there's a whole existential crisis sub-plot along with the mystery surrounding Apollo, the gods, the world of Faerie, and some strange, alien newcomers in the city.
Disclaimer for possible triggers:
It does deal with topics of religion, depression, self-harm, bullying, child abuse, attempted suicide, and struggling with self worth and identity, and will not be sugar coated.
The comic is written by and drawn by me and Banshee, and the art style may fluctuate here and there, but we'll try to keep it consistent.
