I disagree. I believe that it has always done exactly as she asked, but she didn't consider the alternative ways her desires could have been fulfilled or the consequences of getting what she asked for. This is a consequence of getting what she asked for: giving up magic.

So true. However, here we have the audience discussing many different paths. I look forward to see where this goes. The idea of a comic being humorous and yet dramatic, and here we are trying to consider where it will go. In the words of Willy Wonka, "The tension is excruciating. I hope it lasts."
