A rather small and light kobold crushed by a rather large and stocky dragonborn would be a rather painful demise though maybe the bearhug isn't actually that tight and Kriv just slowly lowered himself to the floor and isn't really pressing down hard, and he'll release Tial after a few seconds with the sentence of 'crushed by dragon' having been resolved.
