This is a really good and well thought out plan by Roko, but I am going to guess that Darya will not let Brand and Saida be "Roko's guides" because she needs them for her crazy plan to take over the land and sky.

I also have a feeling that Darya might learn the true nature of Roko that he is a thief and that he stole her "lost treasures" in the future and that Cellarius might be "Roko's guide" for the future. I could be wrong, but that is my guess.

And Darya will not get suspicious of this entire setup? It's just all so convenient. It's one thing to fool her eel minion, a whole new beast to fool Dime Store Ursula. Still, both Darya and this plan is wackadoo enough that it just may work.

I think Roko's big advantage is that the Siren has surrounded herself with mindless puppets, to the extent that she's unaccustomed to dealing with someone who can play with her at her own game. Like, she's used to being in a position of bargaining power (like where it was "sign my contract or I drown you," with the others.) She failed to identify Roko as an opponent and now he's playing the game under her nose.

Good point. Even Ayal had the presence of mind to not just mentally dominate everyone. Vesta rules by fear (and her brother thinks he lives in 1980s Chicago) but she's not dumb. Darya is just... cuckoobananas, and being surrounded by puppets might well be contributing to that. Roko isn't a puppet, but she figures that his need to breathe keeps him under her control. How little she knows....

In all fairness, “trickster demon ghost foxes” aren’t something sea witch Darya would have any idea about, especially considering how she believed Brand and Saida ran away to “elope”. For someone who has grand designs on an “global flooding conquest”, as well as luring land dwellers into the sea, she’s very gullible when being fooled.

Now, what is Roko’s next move?

That may not be the idea. The idea may be to get them into their right bodies - where they'd have access to their full powers. Saida's heir to Vesta. She might be able to break the mind control baubles if she has her full power behind her.

Doesn't look like she's on to the idea. She's used to dealing with mindless puppets and doesn't recognize that the source of her rival's power is right there in her tentacles. That's irony that only a kitsune-kami could appreciate.
