You sink into the water with a yell that’s cut off by water rushing into your mouth. Despite your struggling, you can’t seem to reach the surface. It seems you’re unlucky enough to have fallen not just into the water, but into an area full of goo, which is eagerly enveloping you bit by bit.
Despite your best attempts, you can’t swim out, the slime covering and melting into your skin, a burning heat chasing away the chill of the water. Everything looks blue to your vision as you thrash like a fish caught in a fishing net, even more so when your legs melt and meld together in a tail.
Spikes rip through your body as you squirm, no matter how weak it is before the gills form on your sides, just in time to prevent the dredges of air in your lungs from giving out. You’re alive, no longer at risk of drowning but your journey to escape has come to an end. Instead, it seems you’ll be spending the rest of your life as a fish creature.
