During the Winter War of 1939-1940 between Finland and the Soviet Union, the Finns put into production the Lahti L-39. It's a 20mm rifle, a behemoth of a firearm that weighed over a hundred pounds, and it was used to take out Soviet tanks and trucks. It was also used for counter-sniper operations; the Finns would put up a mannequin of an officer under poor cover, and when a Soviet sniper took a shot at it, the L-39 gunner would take out the sniper.
An automatic variant was also produced as an antiaircraft weapon.

True. I was taking a jab at those whom might read this and were either Battlefield players, or some other sim enthusiast. But it was a fact that earlier tanks were much thinner skinned and why Lahti and Solothurn were effective! Heck even the British Boys were effective early on, and the Boys were mere 14mm. :D
